Jane M.

My first introduction to the VIA after moving to Brunswick in 1975 was at the Spring plant sale… There, I met many very friendly members… I went to the plant sale every year after that and became a VIA member!

Jane C.

I joined the VIA in the 1980s because I admired the organization’s many projects, especially the gazebo.

Marcy M.

I believe in the mission of the organization, and love that we beautify the downtown are with our flowers, trees we purchased and those we protected… Another reason I enjoy being part of the group are the people involved who care as much about our downtown as I do…

Our Mission

The mission of the Village Improvement Association has not changed since the association was founded in 1878 - It strives to make Brunswick an attractive place to live and do business by concentrating its efforts on the downtown area.

Our Focus

By concentrating the attention of businesses and private citizens on trees and flowering plants, by putting its own money to work in the same endeavors, the Village Improvement Association continues to believe that well kept plants are an important part of a town’s landscape.
